Universitas Sebelas Maret
Universitas Sebelas Maret, also known as the University of Sebelas Mare, is among Indonesia's top universities in academic excellence. It is situated in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia, and is encircled by a serene, green, and cultural setting. The vast green space on the UNS campus provides a suitable environment for the student body.
FKIP-UNS, also known as Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan or the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, is one of the nine faculties at Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. It was the faculty I was under during my stay in Solo City, Indonesia.
Because UNS is located in the heart of Javanese culture in Central Java, being an exchange student at this university allowed me to experience the distinct way of life in Solo. Living in Solo allows students to see the city's unique culture and historical relics. The modern style and traditional way of life are closely entwined, adding color to Solo's atmosphere. Being in a town where its culture is still preserved, UNS offers a variety of cultural activities to pique the interest of both young and old and shed light on Javanese science, knowledge, and culture in an academic setting. It is a mixture of academics and cultural exchange
SMP 1 Negeri Surakarta
Sekolah Menengah Pertama 1 Negeri Surakarta, also known as SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta is a State Junior High School located in Jalan M.T. Haryono 4, Surakarta City, Indonesia. Due to its longstanding history in the area and its reputation for academic excellence, the institution is highly recognized. It is renowned for its performance well on national examinations and in other academic contests. The school follows the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum or Independent Curriculum mandated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia. Additionally, it is the oldest State Junior High School institution in Surakarta City.
Two of their notable alumnus are the former President of Indonesia, Joko Widondo, who was in office from 2014-2024. Another is the current Vice-President of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who was the former Mayor of Surakarta City.
